A massive global Microsoft outage on Friday disrupted airline operations across India, leading to flight cancellations and long queues of passengers at airports.
With booking, check-in, and boarding processes impacted, manual methods were employed, causing delays. IndiGo passenger Akshay Kothari even shared his handwritten boarding pass on social media platform X.
According to aviation analytics firm Cirium, 56 flights were canceled out of 3,652 scheduled departures from India, not including inbound flights. Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu assured that efforts are being made to manage the situation effectively.
