Government Unveils Employment-Linked Schemes in 2024-25 Budget

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the Union Budget for 2024-25, announced the launch of three employment-linked schemes. The government will incentivize 30 lakh youth with one month's PF contribution and set up working women hostels to boost female workforce participation. Additionally, funds will be allocated to develop climate-resilient seeds.

In a significant move, the government on Tuesday announced the introduction of three employment-linked schemes as part of the Union Budget for 2024-25.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that incentives including one month's provident fund contribution will be provided to 30 lakh youths entering the job market.

Sitharaman also revealed plans to establish working women hostels across the country to enhance female participation in the workforce. Moreover, the government will allocate funds to the private sector and domain experts for the development of climate-resilient seeds.

The MGNREGA scheme continues to ensure wage employment for adults seeking manual work, offering 100 days of employment per household annually.
