Central Government Allocates Rs 15,000 Crore for Amaravati Development

The Central government has pledged Rs 15,000 crore for the development of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the financial aid while presenting the 2024-25 Budget. The NDA government remains committed to completing the Polavaram Irrigation project and supporting state infrastructure, including industrial and regional development.

The Central government has pledged Rs 15,000 crore for the development of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, announced Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during the 2024-25 Budget presentation in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

Sitharaman emphasized that the NDA government is fully committed to financing and ensuring the early completion of the Polavaram Irrigation project, a critical initiative for Andhra Pradesh and its farmers.

She also highlighted that the government aims to fulfill the commitments outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, particularly in providing essential infrastructure and grants for the backward regions of Rayalaseema, Prakasam, and North coastal Andhra Pradesh.
