Union Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced on Tuesday that the Budget 2024-25 is set to significantly enhance India's shipbuilding and cruise industry capacities, thereby creating substantial new job opportunities.
In a recent social media post, Sonowal highlighted that the budget focuses heavily on employment, skill development, MSMEs, agriculture, and investment-led economic growth.
He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting what he called a visionary document that will boost India's shipping, cruise, shipbuilding, and ship repair industries, while also enhancing the country's export capabilities.
