Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday commended the Union Budget 2023-24, highlighting its efforts to boost fishery cooperatives. He noted that these cooperatives would gain new momentum from the financing facility provided by NABARD, particularly benefiting shrimp cultivation, processing, and export.

In a social media post, Shah also mentioned that the announcement of a 'National Cooperative Policy' in the Budget aims to empower the cooperative movement across the country. He emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to strengthening the rural economy by expanding the cooperative sector.
