Maharashtra PWD Minister Dada Bhuse on Wednesday directed officials to urgently address various issues plaguing the Mumbai-Nashik highway, particularly potholes and congestion.

Following a meeting, he announced that an additional 170 policemen would be deployed to ease traffic snarls, and heavy vehicle movement would be restricted to specific hours each day.

Bhuse also warned that senior officials would face consequences if no visible improvements were made within the next eight days.
