Railway Recruitment Surge: Minister Ensures Transparency and Efficiency
In a focused address to the Lok Sabha, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed the transparency of the recent Railway Recruitment Board examinations, noting the significant technical challenges and large-scale candidate mobilization. He also highlighted past and upcoming recruitment efforts, outlines for continuous improvement, and the introduction of an annual recruitment calendar.

Highlighting the transparency and compliance in the recruitment process, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw assured that the Railway Recruitment Board examinations tackled significant technical challenges involving large-scale mobilization of manpower.
''We ensured the recruitment process was transparent, following all guidelines without any malpractice,'' Vaishnaw stated in his written reply to DMK MP Kalanidhi Veeraswamy in the Lok Sabha.
With over 2.37 crore candidates involved in post-COVID major examinations, Vaishnaw announced successful recruitment of over 1,30,581 candidates through multiple phases. He emphasized a continuous recruitment process to fill vacancies and launched an annual recruitment calendar to streamline future hiring. ''Four Centralized Notifications (CENs) have been issued for 32,603 vacancies for 2024,'' he added.
