IndiGo has been fined USD 5,832.60 by the US Customs and Border Protection for delayed payment of the immigration user fee, according to a regulatory filing released on Thursday.

The airline is currently looking into the possibility of having the penalty waived, it stated in the filing. The notice of the penalty was received on July 24.

IndiGo confirmed that the penalty would not have a material impact on its financial condition, operations, or other activities. On Thursday, shares of its parent company, InterGlobe Aviation, saw a 1.22% increase, closing at Rs 4,430.50 on the BSE.
