New Direct Delhi-Jorhat Flight Launching in October
Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi announced that a new daily flight between New Delhi and Jorhat will begin in October. Operated by SpiceJet, the route will use a 189-seater plane under the UDAN scheme. Currently, Jorhat has flights to Kolkata, Dibrugarh, and Tezpur, operated by IndiGo.
Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi announced a new daily flight between New Delhi and the eastern Assam town of Jorhat, set to commence in October.
SpiceJet, under the regional connectivity scheme UDAN, will operate an 189-seater aircraft on this route, according to Gogoi.
The information was provided to him by Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu. At present, Jorhat has air connectivity to Kolkata, Dibrugarh, and Tezpur, with IndiGo managing these flights.
