Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has set an ambitious target for the state to become a USD 3.5 trillion economy by 2047. During the 9th Niti Aayog Governing Council meeting in New Delhi, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Patel reaffirmed Gujarat's commitment to the 'Viksit Bharat' vision.

To achieve this goal, CM Patel announced the creation of the Gujarat State Institution for Transformation (GRIT), a think tank modeled after NITI Aayog. GRIT aims to systematically work toward the goals set by the Prime Minister, focusing on the upliftment of the poor, youth, farmers, and women through the 'GYAN' mantra.

The 'Gujarat@2047 Dynamic Document-Roadmap' was introduced, highlighting a dual approach of 'Earning Well' and 'Living Well' to boost economic prosperity and quality of life. Patel also outlined Gujarat's significant contributions to the national GDP and achievements in sectors like health, digital agriculture, and renewable energy.
