Shanthi Gears Ltd Posts Robust Q1 Growth with Profit After Tax at Rs 21.66 Crore

Shanthi Gears Ltd, a Tamil Nadu-based Murugappa Group company, has reported a profit after tax of Rs 21.66 crore for the April-June 2024 quarter, a significant rise from Rs 18.12 crore during the same period last year.
The company's total income for the quarter surged to Rs 142.21 crore from Rs 125.44 crore in the previous year, showcasing robust growth. For the year ending March 31, 2024, the total income was Rs 557.11 crore.
In a recent statement, Shanthi Gears Ltd highlighted its continued focus on revenue, profitability, return on invested capital, and free cash flow. The company's revenue for the quarter increased by 14% to Rs 138.8 crore, and profit before tax rose to Rs 29 crore, marking a 20% increase. Notably, the company achieved a 52% ROIC and generated free cash flow of Rs 21.1 crore. The unexecuted order book as of June 30, 2024, stood at Rs 343 crore, with orders worth Rs 160 crore booked during the review period.
