A charitable event spearheaded by Soumyaknata Sahoo and supported by Dark Room Tattoo Studio took place on July 28, 2024, at SOCH's Rehabilitation Centre in Odisha. The event was organized to provide aid and emotional support to 30 vulnerable children, aiming to improve their living conditions and bring warmth to their lives.
The event ran from 9 AM to 4 PM and featured the participation of five dedicated volunteers: Soumyaknata Sahoo, Sarbeswar Mallick, Bandita Priyadarshini, Sangita Priyadarshini, and Prayash Nayak. Aid materials included 30 sets of new clothing, and volunteers prepared a sumptuous lunch for the children. Hygiene education sessions were also conducted to help children develop good daily habits.
Volunteers and children shared memorable moments in a warm and lively atmosphere, reflecting the success of the event. 'We are delighted to do these things for the children,' said Sahoo. 'Seeing their smiles brings us immense satisfaction and joy. This event is about both material and emotional support.' The event highlighted the community's care for vulnerable groups and encouraged more charitable activities, under the guidance of IYDF.
