In a remarkable act of heroism, a city bus driver in Mangaluru, Mahesh Poojary, saved the life of a young passenger on Wednesday.

The incident occurred during a routine 13F bus trip through Kulur town, when a young student suddenly complained of chest pain. Demonstrating commendable presence of mind, driver Mahesh Poojary and conductor Suresh rushed her to a nearby hospital in Kankanady.

Using the bus horn as a makeshift siren, the duo navigated through traffic and reached the hospital, six kilometres away, in just six minutes. Upon arrival, the conductor swiftly called for paramedics, ensuring the girl received immediate care. Hospital officials report that the young passenger is now out of danger. Her family has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the bus staff. The quick response has since become a viral sensation on social media, earning widespread praise.
