The company had posted a net profit of Rs 455.45 crore in the same period last year, according to a regulatory filing. Revenue from product sales increased 4.03% to Rs 4,129.92 crore, while total operational revenue grew 5.97% to Rs 4,250.29 crore.

'We achieved modest revenue growth of 4%, driven by high single-digit volume growth and better operating margins,' remarked Vice Chairman & Managing Director Varun Berry. Britannia expanded its rural market distribution and enhanced product offerings, resulting in faster rural market share growth compared to urban areas.

Total expenses rose 4.46% to Rs 3,599.51 crore, and total income climbed 5.93% to Rs 4,305.90 crore. The company is leveraging Modern Trade and E-commerce channels and continues to focus on cost efficiency and brand development. The shares settled at Rs 5,751 apiece on Friday, up 0.39%.
