Tragic Collision on Lucknow-Agra Expressway: 7 Dead, 25 Injured

Seven people died and 25 were injured when a bus collided with a car on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. The bus fell into a 20-foot ditch post-collision. Victims include Om Prakash Tiwari and a family from the car. The cause is suspected to be driver negligence and fatigue.

Early Sunday, a fatal collision on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway resulted in seven deaths and 25 injuries, police reported.

The accident, involving a Nagaland-registered bus heading to Delhi and a car in the wrong lane, sent the bus into a 20-foot roadside ditch. Police Superintendent Sanjay Kumar confirmed the crash and the subsequent fatalities.

Among the victims were Om Prakash Tiwari, 50, and a family from the car—Monu, 25, Chanda Devi, and Pradyumn, 24. Injured passengers have been admitted to a hospital, with one in critical condition. Eyewitness Ranjana blamed driver distraction, citing mobile phone use at the wheel.
