IndiGo, India's largest airline, is set to expand its international reach by introducing flights to seven additional destinations in the current financial year, CEO Pieter Elbers announced on Monday.

IndiGo, already operating over 2,000 daily flights to around 120 destinations, including 33 overseas cities, aims to surpass 40 international destinations with these new launches. Elbers made these remarks at an event in the national capital celebrating IndiGo's 18 years of service.

Additionally, IndiGo will launch flights to Jaffna and continue its expansion, with plans to receive A321 XLR planes in 2025 and wide-body A350 aircraft in 2027. The airline holds a domestic market share of nearly 61 per cent and has 975 planes on order, including 18 on wet lease.
