TVS Motor's Q1 2024-25 Financial Surge and New Electric Offerings
TVS Motor Company reported significant financial growth in the first quarter of 2024-25, with a 16% increase in Revenue from Operations and a 26% rise in Operating EBITDA. The company also saw a notable expansion in its electric scooter portfolio. Sales for two-wheelers and three-wheelers, including exports, grew by 14%.
In the first quarter of 2024-25, TVS Motor Company achieved a Revenue from Operations of Rs. 8,376 Crores, marking a 16% increase from Rs. 7,218 Crores in the same period last year. The company’s Operating EBITDA grew by 26% to Rs. 960 Crores, with the operating EBITDA margin rising to 11.5% compared to 10.6% previously.
The Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter was Rs. 783 Crores, a 28% increase from Rs. 610 Crores a year earlier. This includes a notional gain of Rs. 28 Crores from the fair valuation of investments. Profit After Tax (PAT) also surged by 23%, reaching Rs. 577 Crores.
During this period, TVS Motor's two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, including exports, grew by 14% to 10.87 lakh units, with notable growth in electric scooter sales. The company also expanded its TVS iQube electric scooter lineup, which now features three battery options and five variants in 11 colors.
