Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE), a prominent public sector shipbuilder, has posted a 13% rise in net profit for Q1 FY25, attaining Rs 87 crore. Earnings per share saw an uptick, reaching Rs 7.6 from Rs 6.6 in Q1 FY24. However, the company's net profit margin slightly contracted to 8.64% from 10.14% year-on-year. Despite this, GRSE remains optimistic about maintaining its growth trajectory.

GRSE's chairman and managing director, Cmde Hari PR, expressed confidence in the company's future, highlighting strong financial results in Q1 FY25 and support from a robust order book and effective project execution plans. Recent strategic MoUs, including partnerships with Medha Servo Drives and Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation, aim to enhance GRSE's technical capabilities and drive self-reliance in key areas.
