Global Distriparks Ltd Reports 23% Decline in Net Profit for June Quarter Amid Supply Chain Disruptions
Logistics operator Global Distriparks Ltd (GDL) announced a 23% decline in net profit to Rs 49 crore for the June quarter, compared to Rs 63.72 crore in the same period last year. Total revenue dropped 4.59% to Rs 357.65 crore, with significant declines in both rail vertical and CFS revenue.
Logistics operator Global Distriparks Ltd (GDL) reported a 23% decline in net profit for the June quarter, bringing in Rs 49 crore compared to Rs 63.72 crore the previous year. The company cited supply chain disruptions and increased ocean freight rates as key challenges.
Total revenue for the quarter was Rs 357.65 crore, down 4.59% from Rs 374.85 crore in Q1FY24. The rail vertical saw a revenue decline of 2.86% to Rs 289.90 crore, while CFS revenue dropped 11.32% to Rs 67.75 crore.
GDL handled 171,425 TEUs in container traffic, a 4.71% decrease year-on-year. The rail vertical managed 82,043 TEUs, while the CFS business handled 89,382 TEUs. Despite the downturn, Chairman Prem Kishan Dass Gupta expressed optimism about maintaining market share and expanding the network.
