NBCC To Develop 406-Acre Satellite Township in Srinagar

NBCC (India) Limited has signed an MoU to develop a 406-acre satellite township in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The project, encompassing residential, commercial, and recreational facilities, will be completed in phases over five years. Funded through project-generated revenues, it aims for high sustainability standards.

NBCC (India) Limited has announced plans to develop a 406-acre satellite township in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. The project will be executed in phases over a five-year period.

The township, envisioned as Srinagar's new town centre, will include residential plots, luxury villas, apartment complexes, commercial office spaces, an indoor sports centre, and a 200-key five-star resort. It will also feature approximately 3,200 affordable housing units, each with an area of 45 square meters.

The MoU for the project was signed between NBCC and the Srinagar Development Authority. The development, costing Rs 15000 crore, will use a self-sustaining funding model and aim for GRIHA or IGBC certification for sustainability. NBCC (India) Limited, a Government of India Navratna Enterprise, offers a range of construction services across various sectors.
