A private goods train derailed on a power plant's rail track in Shaktinagar on Sunday, according to officials. No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred around 11:30 am.

The train was transporting coal from Northern Coalfield Limited in Khadia to the Anpara power plant. Railways clarified that the track, wagons, and locomotive belonged to the power plant.

Executive Engineer S P Yadav of the Anpara power plant stated that track repairs would take a day. However, an alternate train line is available to ensure the continuous supply of coal to the plant.
