Shares of e-commerce platform FirstCry's parent company, Brainbees Solutions Ltd, ended with an impressive premium of nearly 46 percent against the issue price of Rs 465 on Tuesday.
The stock debuted at Rs 625 on the BSE, marking an increase of 34.40 percent from the issue price, and surged to a high of Rs 707.05 during the day. It closed at Rs 678.25, up 45.86 percent.
At the NSE, the stock listed at Rs 651 and closed at Rs 673.50, reflecting an increase of 44.83 percent. The company's market valuation soared to Rs 35,213.67 crore.
The robust performance came despite a broader market downturn, as the BSE Sensex tumbled 692.89 points, or 0.87 percent, to 78,956.03 and the NSE Nifty fell by 208 points, or 0.85 percent, to 24,139.
The IPO of Brainbees Solutions garnered 12.22 times subscription. The company plans to use the proceeds for expanding its 'BabyHug' stores, international ventures, and marketing initiatives.
