Tragic Spate of Accidents Claims Seven Lives on Delhi-Dehradun Highway

Seven individuals, among them a police constable and his wife, were killed in distinct road accidents on the Delhi-Dehradun national highway in the past 24 hours, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
Constable Sudhir Kumar, 28, and Sonia, 26, met their tragic end when a truck collided with their motorcycle, causing a fire. Both victims were trapped and succumbed to their injuries. Emergency services arrived promptly, but the truck driver fled the scene, said Circle Officer Rupali Rao.
In another accident, Ishwar Dayal, 25, and Sandeep Verma, 28, died after their motorcycle was struck by an unknown speeding vehicle near a Mahindra showroom under the Mansurpur police jurisdiction. Police are investigating the hit-and-run incidents and endeavoring to capture the perpetrators.
A third collision occurred near the Mansurpur distillery, where Sorabh Pal, 26, Daksh Saini, 25, and Krishan, 23, died after a speeding truck hit their motorcycle. The truck driver fled, continuing the disturbing trend. The police investigations remain active.
