Karnataka's Commitment to Foxconn's Investment

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn of full governmental support, encouraging further investment. In a meeting with Foxconn's CEO Young Liu, Siddaramaiah highlighted the state's strong manufacturing sector and its advantages. Foxconn's ongoing projects, including an iPhone assembly plant, are expected to create substantial employment and bolster the local economy.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has assured Taiwanese electronics major Foxconn of full support and commitment from his government to ensure it receives all necessary assistance. He also urged the company to consider further investments in the state.

Siddaramaiah held discussions with Foxconn CEO Young Liu and his team during a dinner meeting at a private hotel. He emphasized the significant potential for mutual growth between Foxconn and Karnataka, citing the state’s well-established status in the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector.

Foxconn's major projects in Karnataka include an iPhone assembly plant near Doddaballapura, which will generate over 50,000 jobs and a manufacturing facility for EV components. Liu affirmed Foxconn's commitment to continued investment in the state, projecting the Karnataka unit to become Foxconn’s second-largest plant globally.
