Technical Glitch Halts Kolkata Metro Services on Blue Line

Metro Railway services on the Blue Line's Dakshineswar to Dumdum section were interrupted for over 40 minutes on Saturday due to a technical glitch in the signal point system, an official reported.
A Kolkata Metro spokesperson confirmed that services between Dumdum and New Garia (Kavi Subhas) remained operational during this period.
The Dakshineswar-Dumdum stretch features four stations, all located in the northern part of Kolkata.
After engineers rectified the issue, normal services on the entire Blue Line corridor, which runs from Dakshineswar to New Garia (Kavi Subhas), resumed at 1:45 pm.
The official statement noted that the problem began at 1 pm, and engineering teams worked promptly to resolve it. Normal operations resumed shortly thereafter.
