In a tragic incident, at least six people were killed and another injured when the SUV they were traveling in rammed into a truck near Gour railway station in West Bengal's Malda district, police reported on Sunday.
The accident took place around midnight on Saturday on national highway 12. The vehicle was heading to Malda town from Kaliachak at the time of the collision.
According to police, five individuals died instantly, while one succumbed to injuries at a local hospital on Sunday. National highway authorities and police retrieved the bodies from the heavily damaged vehicle and transported the injured to the hospital.
