This effort has added over 2,000 cutting-edge solar street lights, advancing the city's green credentials and reinforcing India's commitment to a sustainable future.
The rapid deployment of these lights has notably improved illumination on Trivandrum's Class B and C roads, enhancing both safety and security for residents. Crafted with an aesthetically pleasing aluminum body, these solar street lights boast features such as Lumen Efficacy exceeding 150 LPW, high-quality monocrystalline PV panels paired with advanced Li-ion batteries, IK08 impact resistance, and IP65 ingress protection. This project is projected to cut Trivandrum's energy consumption by approximately 1.75 MWh over five years, markedly reducing carbon emissions.
