Search operations are continuing in Chandil Dam for the sixth consecutive day to locate the missing trainer aircraft that disappeared after taking off from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand on August 20, officials confirmed.

Teams from the Navy and NDRF are engaged in the search efforts in Seraikela-Kharswan district aiming to find the Cessna-152 two-seater aircraft, according to Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Chandil) Subhra Rani.

The bodies of trainee pilot Shubhrodeep Dutta and pilot-in-command Captain Jeet Satru Anand were discovered on Thursday and have been handed over to their respective families after post-mortem examinations.

Alchemist Aviation Private Ltd, the aircraft's owner, stated it was premature to speculate on the cause of the crash. The aircraft, which had 80 liters of fuel on board with an endurance of 4 hours and 30 minutes, lost contact with the Jamshedpur Air Traffic Control Tower (ATC) at 11.10 am on August 20.
