Daalchini Technologies, operating a network of smart vending machines, aims to double its unmanned kiosks to 4,000 within the fiscal year, according to Co-Founder & CEO Prerna Kalra.
Based in Delhi, the retail tech startup has expanded to over 70 cities, currently managing more than 2,300 vending machines retailing snacks, beverages, stationery, and personal care items. Kalra explained that Daalchini sees a growing trend of FMCG brands opting for dedicated vending machines, allowing for a fuller product range in high-traffic locations.
''We target doubling our machine count and revenue to 4,000 this fiscal year, having surpassed Rs 100 crore in revenue recently. Our focus remains on sustainable growth, innovation, and expanding offerings,'' Kalra told PTI. The company introduced India's first vending machines selling fresh food items, which are cashless, app-based, and cloud-connected for remote inventory and quality management.
