India and Singapore Forge Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

India and Singapore have elevated their bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, signing four MoUs focused on semiconductors, among other areas. Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Lawrence Wong reviewed various facets of the relationship, aiming to expand trade, investment, and cooperation in multiple sectors. Modi also announced India's first Thiruvalluvar Cultural Centre in Singapore.

India and Singapore have strengthened their bilateral relations by establishing a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and signing four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) that focus particularly on cooperation in semiconductors.

Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Lawrence Wong held extensive talks in Singapore, addressing various aspects of their nations' relations, including economic ties, digital technologies, and healthcare. Modi highlighted Singapore's significant investment of around USD 160 billion into India's economy as a key factor for future growth.

The leaders also discussed the 60th anniversary of bilateral ties in 2025, with Modi announcing the opening of India's first Thiruvalluvar Cultural Centre in Singapore. These developments reflect the deepening interactions between the two countries across multiple domains.
