Wockhardt Dismisses SEBI Investigation Claims

Pharmaceutical company Wockhardt has denied accusations linked to rental payments from Carol Info Services and recent SEBI orders. They insist that the allegations are baseless and confirm their compliance with applicable laws. This follows claims made by Congress' Pawan Khera about improper rental income received by SEBI chairperson Madhabi Buch.

Pharmaceutical giant Wockhardt has categorically denied allegations asserting a link between rental payments made by Carol Info Services and specific orders issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

In a regulatory filing recently, Wockhardt stated, 'We categorically deny these allegations and state that these allegations are completely baseless and misleading.'

This statement comes in the wake of claims from Congress' media head, Pawan Khera, who alleged that Madhabi Buch, during her tenure as a member and chairperson of SEBI, received rental income amounting to Rs 2.16 crore from Carol Info Services. Wockhardt insists on complete adherence to applicable laws amidst ongoing SEBI investigations into insider trading allegations.
