Three individuals had a narrow escape after their car caught fire on the Eastern Express Highway in Thane, Maharashtra, on Saturday night, according to civic officials.

The blaze, which occurred at 11.15 pm near Teen Hath Naka, severely affected traffic flow. Yasin Tadvi, head of Thane Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell, stated the passengers were en route to Mumbra from Govandi, Mumbai.

All passengers managed to jump out of the car to avoid injury. Local fire personnel and the regional disaster management cell team arrived promptly, extinguishing the fire within half an hour. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
