India remains a standout in an otherwise bleak global economic landscape, potentially achieving a 7% growth in the current fiscal year despite prevailing headwinds, according to Deloitte South Asia CEO Romal Shetty.
Shetty, the youngest CEO of a Big Four firm in India, highlighted that inflation is under control, rural demand has picked up, and vehicle sales are on the rise.
Deloitte projects 6.7% growth in the next fiscal year, with India expected to become a USD 5 trillion economy and the world's third largest within the decade. Shetty also stressed the need for continued economic reforms and leveraging technology in agriculture.
