Procter & Gamble Bangladesh Ends Distribution Deal with Gillette India

Procter & Gamble Bangladesh has terminated its distribution agreement with Gillette India, effective from December 31, 2024. This move will lead to a proportionate drop in Gillette India's net sales. Despite the impact, Gillette India expects no significant influence on its profits.

In a significant development, Gillette India announced on Tuesday that Procter & Gamble Bangladesh has decided to terminate the distribution agreement with the company. This decision, effective from December 31, 2024, is expected to lead to a proportionate reduction in Gillette India's net sales.

According to a regulatory filing by Gillette India, the distributor agreement in question accounted for 2 per cent of the company’s total net sales for the financial year 2023-24. However, the company emphasizes that this termination will not materially impact its profits.

Gillette India reported revenue of Rs 2,633.08 crore for FY23-24, and remains confident about its financial stability despite the discontinued agreement.
