According to the police, the family was returning to Adilabad after attending a function in Hyderabad when the incident occurred. Five people died instantly, while three others suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the vehicle was over-speeding, and the driver may have dozed off at the wheel. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause.
