A helicopter belonging to Heritage Aviation crashed and caught fire early Wednesday morning in Pune, Maharashtra, killing three individuals.
State NCP president Sunil Tatkare revealed he was scheduled to fly in the same chopper, rented by his party, on the same day. The helicopter departed from the Oxford County Golf Course helipad and was en route to Mumbai's Juhu when it went down at 7:40 am.
The victims have been identified as Girish Kumar, Pritam Singh Bhardwaj, and Paramjeet Singh. Preliminary investigations suggest fog as a possible cause of the crash, though the Directorate General of Civil Aviation will conduct a detailed probe.
