The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has instructed the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) to examine consumer complaints targeting Ola Electric.
Ola Electric, a recipient of benefits under the FAME II and PM E-DRIVE schemes, obtained its eligibility certification from ARAI, operating under the ministry's jurisdiction.
On October 7, the Central Consumer Protection Authority issued a show cause notice to the company over alleged breaches of consumer rights and misleading advertisements.
The FAME II and PM E-DRIVE schemes mandate that original equipment manufacturers, including Ola Electric, maintain service centers and offer warranty services to resolve consumer grievances.
