TT Group and AFCOM Cargo: A New Horizon in Global Air Freight

TT Group and AFCOM Cargo have expanded their strategic partnership, enhancing air cargo services across domestic and international markets. The collaboration focuses on faster transit times, competitive pricing, and increased cargo capacity, aligning with India's 'Vocal for Local' initiative for strengthening logistics infrastructure.

Chennai, India: TT Group and AFCOM Cargo have announced a major expansion in their strategic partnership, initially established in 2022. This collaboration now spans multiple domestic and international destinations, marking a significant development in the air freight sector. TT Group has been appointed as the Global General Sales Agent (GSA), while AFCOM Cargo is set to expand its freighter fleet.

The partnership aims to align with AFCOM Cargo's global expansion vision and enhance service offerings by leveraging TT Group's expertise in air cargo sales, marketing, and network development. TT Group will handle global sales and marketing, while AFCOM Cargo manages operational activities to ensure seamless cargo movement across key trade lanes. Arun Vasu, Chairman & Managing Director of TT Group, and Captain Deepak Parasuraman, Chairman of AFCOM Holdings Limited, reiterated their dedication to providing faster transit times, competitive pricing, and increased cargo capacity, thereby solidifying their market stance.

As an integral part of its market expansion strategy, AFCOM Cargo plans to launch a new route from Chennai to Colombo and Malé, scheduled to start operations on February 16, 2025. This service, operating twice weekly, will complement the existing and upcoming routes such as Chennai to Bangkok and Chennai to Singapore. Additionally, AFCOM Cargo will inaugurate its first domestic freighter route connecting Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi to enhance cargo connectivity across India and Southeast Asian markets.

Leveraging AFCOM's operational excellence and TT Group's commercial expertise, both companies are dedicated to working with stakeholders to bolster India's air cargo capabilities. This initiative is pivotal in supporting the Government of India's 'Vocal for Local' vision by fortifying the nation's logistics infrastructure with a homegrown, world-class freighter network.
