Shree Renuka Sugars has reported a significant widening of its net loss to Rs 203.7 crore for the December quarter, a clear reflection of the challenging industry conditions.

The company's income for the third quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal dropped to Rs 2,478.3 crore from Rs 3,009.7 crore the previous year, despite lower expenses recorded at Rs 2,869.3 crore.

Executive Chairman Atul Chaturvedi highlighted that delayed crushing season due to adverse weather and unchanged ethanol and sugar MSP regulations impacted operations. However, recent government approval for domestic sugar export could potentially boost business in coming quarters.
