On Wednesday, Ashok Leyland Ltd experienced a significant leap in its stock value by nearly 8%. This surge followed the commercial vehicle manufacturer's announcement of a 34.63% rise in consolidated net profit for the December quarter.

Closing at Rs 219.60 on the BSE, the stock achieved an intraday high of Rs 220.80. Meanwhile, on the NSE, shares climbed 7.81% to reach Rs 219.64, with notable trading volumes recorded on both exchanges.

The company's stellar financial performance in the third quarter of 2024, with a profit boost to Rs 819.67 crore, was largely fueled by robust sales in international markets. Revenue climbed to Rs 11,995.21 crore, showcasing unprecedented growth for a third quarter, despite an increase in total expenses.
