Dubai Loop: Paving the Future of High-Speed Underground Transit
Elon Musk's The Boring Company partners with Dubai's RTA to develop the Dubai Loop, a 17 km high-speed underground transport network. Announced by AI Minister Omar Al Olama, the pilot phase will feature 11 stations handling over 20,000 passengers per hour without a specified timeline.

The Boring Company, led by Elon Musk, has embarked on a groundbreaking venture alongside Dubai's Road and Transport Authority (RTA). The two entities revealed plans for the Dubai Loop, a 17 km high-speed underground transit network, promising to redefine urban transport. Official word came during an interaction between Omar Al Olama, UAE's Artificial Intelligence Minister, and Musk at the World Governments Summit.
This initiative, still in preliminary phases, involves an 11-station pilot capable of whisking passengers at speeds of 160 km per hour. The Boring Company envisions the network to initially accommodate 20,000 passengers per hour, with future expansions designed to serve over 100,000 people per hour, according to Dubai's media office.
Despite the absence of a formal timeline, the project aims to alleviate traffic in Dubai's most congested corridors. A memorandum of understanding has been executed, underscoring commitment to innovative transport solutions. The collaboration between a tech visionary and one of the world's most forward-thinking cities signals a bold step towards modern infrastructure.
