Bomb Scare Halts Mumbai-Bound Trains: A Security Alert

Authorities in Uttar Pradesh halted two Mumbai-bound express trains on Tuesday following bomb threats, officials reported. The warnings, received through social media, targeted the Kamayani Express and Dadar Express, prompting immediate action by security forces.

Government Railway Police (GRP) officials were alerted at around 10.30 am. In response, the Kamayani Express was stopped at Ballia Railway Station, while the Dadar Express was halted at Audhihar Railway Station to allow thorough security inspections, according to GRP media in-charge Shyam Babu.

A coordinated operation involving district administration, GRP, and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) is underway. A dog squad was deployed at Ballia Railway Station as part of an extensive security check following the social media reports of bomb threats.
