Publication of electoral rolls of Puducherry on January 31: Election department

Final publication of electoral rolls on January 31 Puducherry Jan 18 (PTI): The election department Friday announced that the final publication of electoral rolls relating to all the 30 assembly segments in the Union Territory has been slated for January 31 following the instructions of the Election Commission of India. After the special summary revision of photo electoral rolls with reference to January 1, 2019 as the qualifying date, the final publication was scheduled earlier for January 21, chief electoral officer of Puducherry V Candavelou said in a press release here. But, to remove double entries and also to ensure error-free rolls, the Election Commission instructed that the final publication be made on January 31. Accordingly, the rolls would be published on the premises of all polling stations and also at the offices of the electoral registration officers, assistant electoral registration officers and also on the website of the chief electoral office. The rolls would be available for public inspection at all the stations upto February 6. Public can also visit the website of the department of elections (https/ceopuducherry.py.gov) to verify their names, the release said.
