Boosting Connectivity: Delhi Metro's Broadband Expansion

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation signed an agreement with Beckhaul Digital Technologies to enhance internet connectivity, laying 700 km of fiber optic cables across all metro lines. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has entered into an agreement with a telecommunications firm to revolutionize internet connectivity across its network corridors, an official statement revealed.

Beckhaul Digital Technologies will install 700 km of fiber optic cabling along every metro line, including the Airport Line, in a phased deployment. Initially, Pink and Magenta Lines will see the upgrades, with completion for all lines anticipated within six months.

This enhancement will underpin high-speed internet capabilities, facilitating telecom firms, ISPs, data centers, and advancing smart city projects. Moreover, it will aid in the seamless deployment of 5G services, contributing to the Indian government's digital connectivity vision.
