The debut of Quality Power Electrical's shares saw a brief surge before closing nearly 9% below the issue price. The shares initially opened at Rs 432.05 on the BSE, up by 1.65% from the set price, but quickly tumbled to end the day at Rs 387.05. Similarly, the NSE listing followed a comparable trend, commencing at Rs 430 and falling to Rs 387.90.

The market valuation of Quality Power Electrical was recorded at Rs 2,997.47 crore. Trading volume was significant, with 4.79 lakh shares exchanged on the BSE and over 1 crore on the NSE. Despite these figures, the broader market indices suffered, with the BSE Sensex falling by 856.65 points to settle at 74,454.41, and the NSE Nifty slipping by 242.55 points.

Quality Power Electrical's IPO garnered attention, being subscribed 1.29 times as it concluded on Tuesday. It included a fresh issue and Offer-for-Sale component, totaling an issue size of Rs 859 crore. The raised funds are earmarked for acquisition purposes, capital expenditure, further strategic acquisitions, and general corporate activities.
