Massive Railway Network Ensures Safe Passage for Maha Kumbh Pilgrims

The Railway Ministry announced comprehensive arrangements for the safe return of pilgrims from Maha Kumbh 2025 at Prayagraj. With 350 trains planned, railway officials are prepared for increased passenger flow post-Maha Shivratri. Enhanced security, additional trains, and digital services are in place for seamless pilgrim transport.

The Railway Ministry has unveiled elaborate arrangements for the safe return of pilgrims attending the Maha Kumbh 2025 at Prayagraj. As the final Amrit Snan approaches, officials are working tirelessly to manage the influx of passengers.

Scheduled for February 26, the Maha Shivratri Snan will see a significant number of pilgrims traveling from states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal, converging at the Sangam. In response, 350 trains are set to facilitate their return journey, with extra rakes ready in Prayagraj.

North Central Railway, alongside North Eastern and Northern Railways, are on high alert to prevent overcrowding and ensure safety. With more than 15,000 trains managed so far, including special trains, the Railway Ministry is maintaining a close watch, supported by extensive security forces and medical facilities. Digital services also aid the millions traveling this year.
