Tensions Soar as Russian Air Defences Down Ukrainian Drones
Russian air defence units shot down at least 11 Ukrainian drones near Moscow, resulting in suspended flights at two nearby airports. No injuries or damage were reported. Authorities are investigating, while Ukraine aims to dismantle key Russian infrastructure, responding to ongoing conflict efforts.

In a significant escalation, Russian air defence units neutralized at least 11 Ukrainian drones targeting Moscow, as confirmed by the city's mayor early Wednesday. The incident forced aviation authorities to temporarily halt flights at two major airports serving the capital.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that the drones were intercepted over the Ramenskoye and Domodedovo districts, located 40 to 50 kilometers from the Kremlin. Fortunately, preliminary assessments indicate no damage or injuries were sustained during the incident, according to Sobyanin's Telegram post.
Russia's aviation authority suspended operations at Zhukovo and Domodedovo airports to ensure safety in light of the attacks. While Reuters has yet to verify the reports independently, there has been no immediate response from Ukraine. The recurring strikes are part of Kyiv's strategy to weaken Russian infrastructure amidst ongoing military tensions.
