Flight Cancellations and Heightened Security Amid Rising Tensions

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, 138 flights were cancelled at Delhi airport and security measures heightened. Operation Sindoor, targeting terror sites in Pakistan, led to the closure of 27 airports, affecting domestic and international flights. Delhi airport operations remain normal but with potential delays.

In the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, a total of 138 flights were cancelled at Delhi airport on Friday, as informed by sources. This decision comes after enhanced security measures were implemented across the nation's airports.

The cancellations are a result of Operation Sindoor, where Indian armed forces conducted strikes on terror targets within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, in retaliation for the recent Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives.

The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), which runs Indira Gandhi International Airport, advised that although operations remain normal, passengers should anticipate possible delays and extended processing times due to heightened security checks.
