Northern Railway Launches Special Trains Amid Rising Demand

Northern Railway has launched three special trains from Jammu and Udhampur to New Delhi due to rising demand. These include trains with reserved and unreserved coaches. The move comes amid an increased need for transportation as residents near border areas seek safer locations.

The Northern Railway on Friday announced the launch of three special trains to cater to the rising demand for travel from Jammu and Udhampur to New Delhi. This initiative comes in response to an uptick in travelers keen on this particular route.

Himanshu Upadhaya, Chief Public Relation Officer of Northern Railway, detailed the schedule, stating that the first special train with 12 unreserved and 12 reserved coaches departed from Jammu at 10:45 am. Additionally, a Vande Bharat train, comprising 20 coaches, left from Udhampur at 12:45 pm, traversing via Jammu and Pathankot.

Upadhaya added that a third reserved-train with 22 coaches was slated for a 7 pm departure from Jammu. He emphasized the railway's vigilant monitoring of travel patterns and passenger turnout, particularly from areas near the Pakistan border, to ensure the timely introduction of special services.
