On Thursday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated the 16th edition of the ACMEE 2025 exhibition, held by the Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association.
The event at Chennai Trade Centre emphasized the state's commitment to the Make in India initiative via advanced machine tool technology. The Chief Minister highlighted Tamil Nadu's strong industrial landscape, with over 35 lakh registered MSMEs, ranking third nationally in employment generation, trailing only agriculture.
The state government is actively supporting the sector with various subsidies totaling Rs 1,381.91 crore and has plans to establish new industrial estates and a large pharmaceutical complex in Tindivanam. MSME Minister T M Anbarasan and AIEMA leaders were present at the event.
